Jiaxue Huang

Biography

Jiaxue Huang, male, stem cell biologist, graduated from Hubei University and then trained in the department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Wuhan University. After earned his degree of Master of Sciences in 1997, he worked at Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College. There he established the National Center for Pharmaceutical Screening and was awarded Beijing Municipal Award for Science and Technology Development, Chinese Medical Technology Development Award. Between 2000 and 2005, his research focused on in vitro expansion and directed differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells and received his Ph.D degree in Immunology & Microbiology department, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. From 2005 to 2008, He worked for Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation, Novartis and shifted his research to target identification and therapeutics development in T cell activation, hematopoietic stem cell self-renewal and tumor stem cells. During the period of 2008-2012, he took the position of Vice President for Science & Technology, Union Stem Cell & Gene Engineering Corporation, Professor in Cellular & Molecluar Pharmacology, Tianjin University. At the end of 2014, he transformed next-generation sequencing and annotation technology into a series of gene decoding products.His work includes research on business models of various stem cells and regulatory network to regenerative medicine from bench to bedside.
