Biography
Professor was a specialist in internal medicine and endocrinology, head of the Department of Family Medicine and Bone Metabolism Laboratory at the Medical University in Poznan. She was also a regional consultant in family medicine in the province. Greater and President of the Polish College of Osteoporosis. Led by Prof. Horst-Sikorska unit over the responsibilities of the Regional Training Centre. Professor dealt with prevention and prevention of lifestyle diseases of social importance, including metabolic syndrome, and osteoporosis. She supervised the research based on molecular biology regarding the impact of hereditary factors on the course of osteoporosis, vascular diseases and cancers of the endocrine glands. Poznan developed by the Department of Family Medicine research directions related to quality of life, farmaekonomiki and pharmacogenetics. Professor educated masses of students of the Faculty of Medicine and doctors in family medicine. In 2005 and 2009 under the guidance of prof. Assoc. med. Wanda Horst-Sikorska held congresses of the Polish Society of Family Medicine. Professor was also a lecturer in multidisciplinary conferences and congresses organized by Publishing Termedia.
