Sarman Singh

Biography

Prof. Sarman Singh is head of the Clinical Microbiology & Molecular Medicine, at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is Fellow of more than 6 national and international Academies and Member of more than 20 national and international scientific bodies. He is Editor-in-chief of Journal of Laboratory Physicians, past-editor of Journal of Immunology and Immunopathology, Academic Editor of prestigious journal “Medicine (Wolters & Kluwer) and Tuberculosis Research & Treatment (Hindawi. He is on the editorial boards more than 40 national and international journals. He has also guided 15 PhDs, 16 MDs and More than 40 MSc. theses. He has written 6 books, 44 book chapters and more than 300 research papers in various national and International journals, including CELL, PNAS and LANCET with a total citation of more than 4800, i10 index of 112 and H-index of 36. Dr. Singh has 7 patents. He has been awarded by various national and international bodies for his outstanding contribution to the Medicine. The most prestigious awards are (1) Dr. BC Roy Award of Medical Council of India (2) Product, Process & Commercialization Award of Government of India (3) Vigyan Ratna Samman of Government of UP, India (4) Overseas Fellowship Award of Department of Biotechnology, (5) Prof. BK Aikat Oration Award of ICMR, India (6) Dr. BP Pandey Oration Award of Indian Society of Parasitology (7) Life Time Achievement Award of Society of Immunology & Immunopathology, (8) Chikitsa Ratan Award of DMA (9) Med-Achiever Award of IMA and (10) BMJ Excellence Award for Innovation in Healthcare Technology.
