Coronaviruses

Coronaviruses is derived from latin word corona, Coronaviruses are species of virus belonging to one of two subfamilies Coronavirinae and Torovirinae in the family Coronaviridae, it was an avian infectious bronchitis virus which infects the poultry, mainly infects the uro-genetial tracks of chickens .Coronaviruses are common viruses that most people get some time in their life. Human coronavirus usually cause mild to moderate upper -respiratory tract illnesses. Coronaviruses are named for the crown like spikes in their surface .There are four main sub groupings of coronaviruses, known as alpha, beta ,gamma, and delta .Human coronaviruses were first identified in 1960 .The six coronaviruses that can infect people are alpha coronaviruses .Most people will get infected with one or more of the common human coronaviruses in their life time .Young children are most likely to get infected .However people can have multiple infections in their lifetime.
