Saeed Akhtar completed PhD from University of California. Saeed Akhtar is currently working as the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kuwait, Kuwait. Saeed Akhtar is known for his great research works.

His research interests include Infectious disease epidemiology with particular focus on infection with hepatitis B and C viruses, Infections, HIV, M. tuberculosisamong high risk groups; Road traffic injuries with emphasis on the impact of various interventions on road traffic injury prevention.
