Biography
Miranda has graduated with a BS in Public Health; M Sc in Biology and Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from the University of Illinois. She then worked in academia for 2 years at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University before joining P&G in 1989. At P&G she started in PS&RA in F&HC and worked on all the categories. In 1994 she moved to the Paper sector and was responsible for Family Care and Baby Care. She conducted many Baby Care clinicals in Asia and LA. She managed the BF&FC skin Lab. Then, in 2000 she was the clinical scientist for both Fem & Family Care. Currently, Miranda is a Research Fellow in Fem Care clinical. Miranda’s expertise is in women’s health, skin, new methods development, skin sensitivity, physiology, sensory, geriatrics, and quality of life. Miranda has more than 240 manuscripts in peer-reviewed scientific journals & co-authored several scientific text books in women’s health, skin, cosmetics and dermatotoxicology. She is co-editor of three books “The Vulva: Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology”, “Textbook of Aging Skin and “Topical Application and the Mucosal” introduced during the 2011 World Congress of Dermatology in Seoul. Miranda was chosen for distinguished standing and has been appointed to several honorary societies and international scientific boards. Miranda was granted several patents on new clinical methods.
