Research Interest
My current research is focused on examining mental health and sexual health disparities among adolescents at heightened risk for HIV acquisition and poor mental health outcomes, as well as developing and implementing evidence-based interventions to address these disparities. I have a particular interest in better understanding the underlying mechanisms that are associated with risky behavior among adolescents, along with social network approaches to HIV prevention and the prevention of poor mental health outcomes. I am also interested in leveraging mobile technology to aid in the implementation, diffusion, and uptake of evidence-based prevention strategies across various social networks (i.e. schools, pediatric clinics, juvenile justice systems, community-based settings, etc.).
