Jason Bolton

Dr. Jason Bolton is from Phoenix, Arizona. In 2010, Dr. Jason Bolton accepted a faculty appointment with University of Maine Cooperative Extension as the Food Safety Specialist, where he works with food companies all over Maine/U.S. and teaches food safety and brewing courses in the new UMaine School of Food and Agriculture. He is currently a cooperating faculty member with the school and food and agriculture, and assistant professor with UMaine Cooperative extension. He is a recognized process authority by both the FDA and USDA for food safety and processing. Bolton earned a B.S. Food Science and Human Nutrition in 2006, a M.S. in Food Science and Human Nutrition in 2008, with a specialty in food quality sensor design and a Ph.D. in Food and Nutritional Sciences in 2012, with a focus on analytical method development.
