she was awarded PhD in Human Nutrition and Foods from Virginia Tech and completed her dietetic internship from Georgia State University; most recently she completed her MBA from Augsburg College. completed two postdoctoral fellowships at Brandies University and Pennsylvania State University in the areas of cardiovascular disease and lipid metabolism.
