Peter Charbel Issa

Biography

 Professor Peter Charbel Issa DPhil FEBO is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in retinal diseases. After his clinical and research training at the Universities of Würzburg, Bonn and Oxford, he held a Professorship for Degenerative Retinal Diseases at the University of Bonn before returning to Oxford in 2016. His research is focused on inherited retinal dystrophies, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and retinal imaging/phenotyping. In his clinic, he also welcomes patients requiring retinal or cataract surgery.
