Biography

Salvador Manuel Correia Massano Cardoso holds a PhD in Health and Social Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra (FMUC). He is currently Professor of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine and Director of the Institute of Hygiene and Social Medicine FMUC, is still Specialist in Occupational Medicine by the Medical Association and Member of the Portuguese Academy of Medicine (L chair). Held various management positions at FMUC (Pedagogic Councils, Scientific and Director), is Coordinator of Masters Courses in Public Health and Master of Occupational Health and also the Course of Occupational Medicine of FMUC. It Provider for Environment and Quality of Life of Coimbra, Member of Parliament (IX legislature), President of the Municipal Assembly of Santa Comba Dao, vice president of the National Council of Medically Assisted Procreation, Strategic Coordinator of Occupational Health Office the University of Coimbra and also responsible for carrying out various national and international meetings in the field of Occupational Health, Occupational Epidemiology and Public Health.
