Dr. Hang Xiao obtained a Ph.D. in Food Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and he had a post-doctoral experience in Susan Lehman Cullman Laboratory for Cancer Research in the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Dr. Xiao is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Food Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His research is focused on the development of diet-based strategies for disease-prevention and health-promotion. Dr. Xiao has published more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts and his research is supported by NIH, USDA.
