Daniel Neary is awarded Ph.D. in Forest Soils and Forest Hydrology from Michigan State University in the 1974. He holds a Master Degree (M.S.) in Forest Ecology from Michigan State University in the 1972, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Forestry from Michigan State University in the 1969. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests are impacts of prescribed fires and wildfires on watersheds and soils, rejuvenating Forest Service watershed research in the Southwest, sustainable and environmentally sound use of forest bioenergy as a means of dealing with excessive fuel loadings in forests.
