Biography

Dr. Barros-Battesti has done Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Federal University of Paraná (1982), MsC in Zoology, Federal University of Paraná (1987) and Ph.D. in Public Health, University of São Paulo (1998). A postgraduate degree from Yale University, USA. Director of the Parasitology Laboratory of the Butantan Institute, from January 2009 to August 2011, and the Special Laboratory of Zoological Collections of the same Institution, from August 2011 to October 2013.
