Biography
Prof Adekunle Bakare had his Postdoctoral training as a TWAS/CSIR Postdoctoral Fellow at the India Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow, India; He was an Alexander Von Humboldt Georg Forster Experience Researcher Fellow in the Molecular Cell Biology Group of Institute for Environmental Medicine and Hospital Hygiene, Freiburg, Germany. His major Research focus is genotoxicity and mutagenicity of xenobiotics in the Nigerian environment. Prof Bakare Participated in an investigation into the molecular mechanisms underlying apoptosis induction and cell cycle modulation by isothiocyanates obtained from cruciferous vegetables in hepatocellular carcinoma and non-transformed liver cells.
