Abstract :

The beginnings of ancient philosophy saw water as the arche (origin) of everything in the universe. SELAMO??s motivation in water as a life sustaining resource is backed by the cliché ??water is life.? Following the outbreak of diseases caused by lack of portable water, SELAMO??s involvement in community mobilization via water projects is becoming an increasing call for all to rejuvenate innovations in water. The problem of bad drinking water in many areas of Cameroon is increasing blowing the whistle with the increase in disease. Thus, how feasible is this call for all applicable in Cameroon is an urgent task that needs redress. Community mobilization and harnessing of resources by all and sundry is the approach of SELAMO towards making Cameroon a global village in rejuvenated innovations in water. Continual mobilization and training of locals on environmental care and good water sources is yielding fruits. Despite the success so far, this sector remains largely undeveloped with inadequate engineers to help bring life (water) to the Cameroonian population.
