Abstract :

Back ground : Childhood Acute Severe Malnutrition is major health concern in many developing countries, especially in Mali. Malnutrition is the consequence of serious infections that can disturbed the growth of the child. Tis study, therefore, examines the incidence of acute Severe Malnutrition among 6–59-month-old inpatient children in Gabriel Touré Hospital, Bamako, Mali. Introduction: Malnutrition was one of the most significant child health issues in developing countries. In 2012, approximately 19.4% and 29.9% of children aged under 5 years had underweight and stunting, respectively, with more than 3.4 million mortality cases among children aged under 5 years related to nutritional status. In Mali, the marasmus malnutrition is the dominant malnutrition among children aged of 6 to 59 months. In addition, the raisons are the know attention of the mothers and the poverty.Other raison like the early breast milk weaning of children in the study of malnutrition in ASACOCY in Mali. Discussion: In our study, the associated pathology dominant is pneumonia while showed that the gastroenteritis is dominant in their study. Conclusion: The marasmus malnutrition is a major and dominant case of the malnutrition among the 6-59 months old of the children in Mali especially in CHU of GABRIEL TOURE and the management in URENI Unit is important but the follow up rest limit because of transfer in URENAS of other centers.

Biography :

Oumou Diakite has completed her postdoctoral studies at the age of 37 years from Alison University and her doctoral studies from Gamal Abdel Nasser University School of Medicine of Guinea Conakry . She had Malian and Saudi Medical License. She had Malian Nutrition License. She is the manager of Nutri Dr OUMOU, a society of production and sale of nutritional food. She is also the manager of the multifunctional Center Doctor OUMOU DIAKITE.
