Dr. Heleen Staal is currently working in Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Maastricht University Medical Centre. She completed her medical studies at the Catholic University of Nijmegen. In 2007 she completed her training as an orthopedic surgeon. This she followed at the VU University Amsterdam, UMC Utrecht and Amsterdam OLVG. She has been working since May 2007 as orthopedic surgeon at Maastricht UMC + (formerly azM). Since 2016 she has been a trainer orthopaedics Her specializations involve child orthopedics and forearm, wrist / hand. In addition to her clinical work, her scientific interests include HME / HMO heriditair multiple exostoses and growth plate.
