Dr. Seiichiro Ogawa received Ph.D. in 1967 from Keio University, Japan and then joined a faculty member of Engineering, Keio University, Japan. He was a Research Associate in University of Illinois,USA and an Alexander von Humboldt fellow in Technische Universitaat Darmstadt, Germany. Since 1984 he has been a Professor of the Department of Applied Chemistry,Keio University, Japan. He specializes in synthetic carbohydrates and synthetic studies on cyclitol derivatives and pseudo-oligosaccharides. He has published about 220 scientific papers and 5 book chapters.His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study.
