Biography

 Dr. Frank A. Scannapieco is a Professor for  University at Buffalo, USA.  He received a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Oral Biology from University at Buffalo, USA in the 1991. He is a graduated in Biology from University of Connecticut in 1977, with an immediate post-graduation in  Biology from Northeastern University, USA in the 1980. He served as a Professor forOral Biology in University at Buffalo, USA.  As a Professor, he is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of research. His research interests, as a Professor lie in Oral Biology and Periodontics . He is the Chairman, University at Buffalo, USA from 2004.His area of expertise, as a Professor credits him with many publications in national and international journals. 

Research Interest

 Microbiology, Biochemistry, Oral microbiology, Mechanisms of dental plaque formation, Saliva-bacterium interactions, Relationships between oral disease and systemic disease with emphasis on respiratory infections, Salivary Biomarkers of Periodontal disease.
