Ling Gao

Biography

Dr. Gao has received his PhD from Uppsala University in Sweden. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Her research interest is Merkel cell carcinoma, an aggressive skin cancer. She has received several awards and honors, including KL2 award, award from Skin Cancer Foundation and she is the reviewer for journals such as Journal of Investigative Dermatology. She has authored several research articles. She is a member of American Academy of Dermatology, Society of Investigative Dermatology and American Association of Cancer Research.

Research Interest

Merkel cell carcinoma, an aggressive skin cancer, dermatology, bioinformatics, proteomics, carcinogenesis, cell signalling.
