George T Gillies

Biography

 George T. Gillies is a native of North Dakota. He attended North Dakota State University, receiving the B.Sc. in Physics in 1974. He then attended the University of Virginia, receiving the M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Engineering Physics in 1976 and 1980, respectively. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Virginia and the U.S. National Bureau of Standards, and thereafter accepted a position as a physicist with the International Bureau of Weights and Measures in Sevres, France.
