Dr. Diane Wagener is a Senior Researcher at RTI International with training in applied mathematics/computer science from the College of Engineering, University of Colorado; Genetics from the School of Medicine, Stanford University; and postdoctoral research at Harvard University. Dr. Wagener then joined the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where she was the Division Director of Health Promotion Statistics. She was also a senior advisor to the US Assistant Secretary for Health.
She has more than 130 peer-reviewed publications and has edited 13 books. She has been recognized by the US Secretary of Health and Human Services, the US Surgeon General, and the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS) for her wide-ranging contributions to science in the public interest.
