Biography
Beam obtained his MS and PhD degrees in statistics from Iowa State University. After completing his PhD, Beam became an assistant professor at Duke University and then joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin Medical Center. He subsequently joined the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin as an associate professor and was promoted to professor at the University of South Florida. In his most recent position, Beam served as a professor in the Pediatric Epidemiology Center in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida
