Biography
Dr. Bailey retired from the U.S. Army as a Colonel. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in biology and entomology from Oklahoma State University. Dr. Charles Bailey is a specialist in infectious diseases, and he has administrative and leadership responsibility for the Center. Dr. Bailey coordinates with the University leadership as well as government and contact officials regarding biodefense and homeland security issues. Dr. Bailey spent 25 years on active duty in the U.S. Army, where he served as a Research Scientist, Department Head, Deputy Commander for Research, Deputy Commander and Commander at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID).
