Ali Masoudi-Nejad received his Ph.D. in genomics from Kyoto University, Japan. He then did his first Post-Doc with Prof. Robbie Waugh at James Hutton Institute in Scotland and Prof. Paul H. Dear from MRC-LMB, Cambridge, UK. He returned to the Kyoto University and did two consecutive Post-Docs with Prof. Minoru Kanehisa, co-founder of GenBank and founder of KEGG in bioinformatics and systems biology. He then returned to Iran and founded the Laboratory of Systems Biology and Bioinformatics, LBB at University of Tehran. He is now associate professor of systems biology.
