Alexander Kurosky is the Director of UTMB NHLBI Proteomics Center on Airway Inflammation; Professor at the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Director at the UTMB Biomolecular Resource Facility and Senior Scientist at theSealy Center for Molecular Medicine. Dr. Kurosky’s laboratory has focused over the years on protein structure, function, and genetics, relating to plasma proteins, bacterial toxins, proprotein processing and airway inflammation. More recently the laboratory has transitioned into the discipline of proteomics and is pursing both proteomics technology development as well as directed proteomics research to investigate total protein expression to obtain a more global understanding of biological phenomena. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests reflect in wide range of publications in various national and international journals.
