Food safety, nutrition, and wellness during COVID-19

Journal of Nutrition & Food Sciences is pleased to announce Special issue on “Food safety, nutrition, and wellness during COVID-19”.

COVID-19 is a respiratory illness and there is no evidence of viruses that cause respiratory illnesses being transmitted via food or food packaging. Coronavirus cannot multiply in food; they need an animal or human host to multiply. It is highly unlikely that people can contract COVID-19 from food or food packaging.

We know that eating a healthy diet, being physically active, managing stress, and getting enough sleep are critical to keep our immune system strong. And nutrition is directly linked to immunity and to the risk and severity of infections. Therefore, it is imperative for all of us to pay attention to our diet and nutritional status during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Also Hand washing remains a critical step in reducing the spread of COVID-19 and should be done often. Before preparing or eating food, wash your hands thoroughly with clean water and soap for a minimum of 20 seconds.

With the same purpose our Journal “Journal of Nutrition & Food Sciences” is announcing Special issue Call for paper on “Food safety, nutrition, and wellness during COVID-19”. We welcome both solicited and unsolicited submissions that will contribute to this special issue.

Submission Process 

  • Special issue articles can include both original unpublished research articles and review articles related to the specific theme
  • Manuscripts will be accepted for publishing in the special issue only after getting approved by the peer review committee.
  • All the articles in special issues should strictly adhere to journal style and formatting.
  • Each special issue can be created with 5-7 articles.
  • All accepted manuscripts can be submitted online via Online Submission System or through an email id to nutrition@jpeerreview.com.
  • Submission should be accompanied by a cover letter with reference to the concerned special issue theme.
