Jun Xu currently the associate director for Sarite Center for Stem Cell Engineering translational medicine (Shanghai Advanced Institute of Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tongji University East Hospital) and the professor of Dept of Regenerative Medicine, School of Medicine, Tongji University as well as assistant to Dean, School of Medicine, Tongji University. He earned his undergraduate degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Peking University in 1999 and my PhD degree (mentored by Dr. Jian Kang) from New York Medical College in 2004. Then he went to UT Southwestern and got postdoc training in Dr. Thomas Sudhof’s lab for three years. Then in 2008 he took his time away from academic to gain the industrial experience in GSK RD China as principal scientist for one year. He has been a professor in Tongji University School of Medicine since 2009 and adjunct professor in Tongji University East Hospital since 2012.
