Dr Sudi Patel is an ophthalmic advisor in Practitioner Services, Scotland. Sudi Patel held an academic post in vision science at Glasgow Caledonian University for 15 years. In 1996, he was appointed 1st Head of Optometry at Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre. Birmingham, UK and, in 1998, appointed Visiting Professor, Institute of Ophthalmology, University Miguel Hernandez, Alicante, Spain. In Alicante, he has been associated with a number of research projects in the area of refractive surgery, tear film and ophthalmic technology. He was appointed the 1st Optometric Adviser/ Ophthalmic Officer to NHS Scotland and Scottish Executive in 2000 and in 2012 he was appointed Research Consultant at Svjetlost Eye Clinic, Zagreb working on emerging technologies associated with cataract and refractive surgery.
