An investigation was undertaken to analyze the effect of plant growth regulators on growth and flower quality of gladiolus cv.'H.B.Pitt’. In the present study, it was found that the maximum height of the plant (59.43 cm), number of leaves (13.9), leaf area (64.8 cm2) were recorded by treatment GA3 200 ppm foliar spray. Lowest plant height was observed in treatment CCC 750 ppm spray. A minimum number of leaves/ plant (10.8) and leaf area (64.8 cm2) were recorded in CCC 250 ppm/plant as a foliar spray. In flower quality parameters, a maximum number of florets/ spike (13.4), floret length (8.4 cm), length of the spike (80.28 cm) and length of the rachis (41.50 cm) were recorded with a foliar spray of GA3 200 ppm. Maximum weight of floret (10.1 g), the diameter of floret (9.5 cm) and girth of the spike (2.60 cm) were produced by CCC 750 ppm foliar spray. A minimum number of flor.. View More»
