Biography
Ricardo Sobhie Diaz got his MD in 1986 and received his training on Infectious Diseases from 1997 to 1999. He received his MSc in infectious diseases in 1991 and his Ph.D. in 1993. He received his three years of post-doctoral training in Laboratory Medicine at the Blood Centers of Pacific, San Francisco, California from 1993 to 1996, focusing on research related to the genetic diversity of HIV and its relationship with pathogenesis. He is now an associate professor of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Paulista School of Medicine at the Federal University of Sao Paulo.
