Ram V Devireddy is currently an Associate Professor Mechanical Engineering Department Louisiana State University LSU Baton Rouge LA the Director of Bioengineering Laboratory Mechanical Engineering LSU He has received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota UMNMinneapolis MN in 1999 He completed his Bacheloracute;s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras India in 1993 and his Masteracute;sdegree also in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder CO in 1995 Prior to joining the Mechanical Engineering department at LSU in the Fall of 2001 he was a postdoctoral scholar in the Medical School and the Chemical Engineering Department at UMN Dr Devireddyacute;s research work has been recognized by several best paper awards including awards from the ASME and MRS Prof Devireddy is interested in a wide of variety of biological phenomena at low temperatures with particular emphasis on phase change phenomena His research work has been or is currently being supported by NSF NIH NASA LA Board of Regents the Whitaker Foundation and the LSU system He is serving on the editorial board of Cryobiology and the Open Biotechnology Journal as well as a reviewer for over 30 journals His research record includes over 100 publications including archival journal publicationsbook chapters review articles conference abstracts and proceedings
