Dr. Batra, is an Ophthalmologist who grew up in India. She did her Medical School Study and Ophthalmology Residency at Government Medical College and Hospital, Punjab University, Chandigarh, India. She then did two year Vitreo-Retina (Surgical and Medical) Fellowship at the prestigious LV Prasad Eye Institute, India. She worked as a faculty Vitreo-Retina Surgeon for two years at LV Prasad Eye Institute, India. Currently she is doing a Research Fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, USA. She is a member of All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), Delhi Ophthalmological Society-DOS (India), Glaucoma Society of India (GSI), Uveitis Society of India (USI), Vitreo-Retina Society of India (VRSI) and International Ocular Tuberculosis Expert Panel. She has attended various meetings and conferences and has also written a book chapter. She has authored many peer-reviewed articles on clinical and experimental topics in vitreoretinal disease and uveitis. Her research interests are - upcoming newer techniques of diagnosis and management of ocular pathology including infections, vitreo-retinal diseases and uveitis.
