A primary focus of his research is the molecular anatomy in benign and malignant tumors of the female genital tract and correlation with clinical and pathological patients’ parameters. Specifically, he is interested in the effects of IGF system expression in placentas of normal and abnormal pregnancies. Also, his research interests lie in the fetal developmental malformations and in very rare clinical cases in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition, he has a longstanding interest in Ultrasonographic, Surgical and Laparoscopic Anatomy. His current research interest is the molecular anatomy of granulosa cells in ovarian follicles of women undergoing assisted reproduction and embryo transfer and correlations with clinical parameters and the influence of carbon-dioxide pneumoperitoneum in molecular factors of tumors in laparoscopic procedures.
