Marek RÃâ¢kas is currently working as an eminent Professor of Ophthalmology at Military Institute of Medicine, National Consultant for Ophthalmology. He has published numerous research papers and articles in reputed journals and has various other achievements in the related studies. He has extended his valuable service towards the scientific community with his extensive research work.
The primary academic interest of Prof. Marek RÃâ¢kas lies in angle closure glaucoma, as well as the laser and surgical treatments of glaucoma. Prof. Marek RÃâ¢kas earlier work established a role for argon laser peripheral iridoplasty in the treatment of acute primary angle closure and other forms of angle closure glaucoma. More recently, his randomized controlled trials provided insight into the roles of lens extraction and other glaucoma surgeries in both acute and chronic primary angle closure glaucoma eyes.
