Marco A Zarbin

Biography

Marco Attilio Eugenio Zarbin, MD, PhD, FACS is the Chair, Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Rutgers in New Jersey Medical School. He received a baccalaureate from the Gilman School (cum laude) in 1974 and received a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry from Dartmouth College (Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, with highest distinction)in 1978. He matriculated to the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1978 and entered their Medical Scientist TrainingProgram in 1980. Zarbin is the editor-in-chief of Translational Vision Scienceand Technology, and has served as associate editor of Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science and as a member of the editorial board of Survey of Ophthalmology.Zarbin's clinical practice is limited to medical and surgicaldiseases of the retina and vitreous with special expertise inage-related macular degeneration, trauma management, complexretinal detachment (including retinopathy of prematurity) andsurgery of the macula (including macular holes, subretinalhemorrhage and subretinal neovascularization).
