Biography
Dr Karin Hammarberg is a Senior Research Fellow in the Jean Hailes Research Unit, School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. She is a Registered Nurse with 20 years experience as clinical co-ordinator of IVF programs. Her PhD research examined the experience of birth and mothering after assisted conception. Karin’s main research interests are the psychosocial aspects of infertility and infertility treatment; health and development of children born as a result of assisted conception; infertility care in resource-constrained settings, the transition to parenthood; and parenting of children with disabilities.
