Jutaro Shudo joined Teikoku Pharma USA (TPU) in June, 2000, became one of the inventors of TPU’s first patent and currently serves as Senior Vice President, R&D and Product Development. Before he joined TPU, he worked at Teikoku Seiyaku Co., LTD. (TSC, parent company of TPU) as a formulation scientist for drug and cosmetic products. He has been involved in various product developments such as sustained release transdermal patch, parenteral injection, dressing for Psoriasis treatment, and OTC analgesic. His over 20 year’s contribution to Teikoku is not only for R & D but also for Business Development. He also cultivated a profound knowledge of scale-up manufacturing during his career at Teikoku. He received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Science from Chiba University in Japan.
