Jacques Ricard is a Professor of Biophysics at the University of Paris 7 and Director of the Jacques Monod Institute, CNRS and University Paris. He achived his doctoral Thesis from University of Paris-Sorbonne in mathematical biology in 1957. Published about 250 scientific papers.
Scientific interests are to understand the behavior and logic of biological systems in terms of theories originating from chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, information theory, etc.
