Dr. Reza obtained his PhD in 2002 from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan in the field of molecular biology. His doctoral study mainly focused on the eye development. He revealed important roles of several transcription factor genes such as Pax6, Sox2 and L-Maf in lens and retina development. His study involved extensive works on different cell lines as well as animal models like mice and chicks. Later he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher for one and a half years and then joined the Faculty of Biological Sciences, NAIST, Japan as an Assistant Professor and continued for 3 years. He came back home in 2007 and joined NSU in the same year. Currently he is working as a Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, NSU.
