Dr (Mrs) Gladys Ovigue George, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Optometry, University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. She teaches Ocular Physiology, Neurophysiology and Ocular Pathology in the Department of Optometry, University of Benin, Nigeria. Dr (Mrs) George’s research areas focus mainly on Ocular Health, with particular emphasis on ocular diseases such as Glaucoma modern diagnostic procedures and management. Her over twenty five journal articles, conference papers, seminar presentations and lectures in continuing education programs in the Optometry profession are mostly in the above subjects. Dr (Mrs) George has won academic and professional awards, notable amongst which is the best OD Optometry student in 1999, Best presenter in Lecture series of NOA annual scientific conference in 2012. Dr (Mrs) George is a Fellow of the Nigerian College of Optometrists and a guest lecturer in most scientific sessions of the Nigerian Optometric Association.
