Gaynor began his neurosurgical training at the University of Miami in July 2009 and will graduate in June 2016. He graduated Manga Cum Laude from the accelerated six-year BA/MD program at the University of Missouri – Kanas City. Dr. Gaynor was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and received the Merck Medicine Book Award for Outstanding Achievement in Medical Education. Dr. Gaynor’s clinical research in the area of endovascular neurosurgery has led to publications in peer-reviewed journals, national oral presentations, abstract posters, and book chapters.
Dr. Gaynor spent one year as an infolded endovascular fellow under the direction of Ali Sultan, MD at the University of Miami and plans to complete his training in endovascular neurosurgery after residency.
His clinical interests include minimally invasive treatment of cerebrovascular disease with endovascular therapy, surgical management of spinal disorders, and general neurosurgery.
