School psychology plays a central role in enhancing students’ academic performance, social skills, and emotional well-being. Their expertise in child development, learning processes, and behavioral strategies allows them to provide comprehensive support tailored to the unique needs of each student.
Assessment forms the foundation of school psychology practice. Psychologists gather information about students’ cognitive abilities, learning preferences, emotional responses, and social interactions. Standardized tests, structured observations, and interviews provide valuable insight into areas requiring support and areas of strength. This information is used to develop individualized strategies that help students engage more effectively in learning activities.
