Dr.Valentina Echeverria, a neuroscientist working in translational research and basic research in the fields of Neuropharmacology, Behavior and Molecular Psychiatry. She has more than 10 years of research experience using cellular and animal models to investigate new pharmacological therapies against stroke, and Alzheimer's disease. She has authored more than 35 publications and several patents. Her research interests are in the field of neuroscience and directed to the investigation of the molecular mechanisms associated with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathology, and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. During the last years of her research, she has focused in two main subjects: 1.The investigation of cRaf-1inhibitors to restore memory abilities in AD and Stroke. 2.The investigation of Cotinine against memory loss and psychiatric symptoms in Alzheimer’s disease and other psychiatric and neurological conditions.
