Dr.Shinichiro Ohshimo is a Lecturer in Department of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Hiroshima University, Hiroshima, Japan. He took his PhD degree from Hiroshima University. In 2014 he was awarded Best Presentation Award, World Association for Sarcoidosis and Other Granulomatous Disorders, GAP index as a predictor of acute exacerbation in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. He is engaged in the emergency and intensive care medicine, predominantly acute respiratory failure and sepsis. His specialty is the acute exacerbation of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
