Semra Sardas

Biography

Dr. Semra Sardas is a Professor of Toxicology in the Faculty of Pharmacy at Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey, where she has served as Head of the Toxicology Department since 2007. Her applied research focuses on pharmacogenetics and genotoxicity in relation to environmental and lifestyle factors.Her academic appointments include: Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Toxicology, University of Ankara (PhD 1982); Associate Professor of Toxicology, Gazi University (1986); Faculty of Pharmacy and Professor of Toxicology Gazi University (1993). In addition, she has served as the Chairwoman of the Department of Toxicology and as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Gazi University in Ankara. In June 2006 she moved her professorship to Marmara University in Istanbul.
