Dr. Rup Kumar Kar is affiliated with Professor in the Department of Botany at Visva-Bharati University, West Bengal, India. His research interests are in the Physiology of seed germination and the Physiology of water stress and senescence. He got University Gold Medal (for ranking first with first class in M. Sc. final exam). He visited as a scientist at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, USA (2004). later on, he got his fellowship as a Fellow of the Indian Society for Plant Physiology in the year 2007. He has 10 significant publications.
