Petri Susi

Biography

Petri Susu presently a principal investigator at University of Turku, Finland. He is a virologist with a molecular biologist´s perspective to microbiology and life sciences. His Research focuses on genetic variation (quasispecies diversity) and cellular interactions of human entero-, rhino- and parechoviruses. The know-how on viral sequences and structures is also used to develop novel diagnostics methods (RT-qPCR and antigen detection assay) for the detection and typing of human picornaviruses.
