Paul H. Weigel

Biography

 Paul H. Weigel currently works at the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, USA. Dr. Weigel's research program focused on the synthesis of hyaluronan, a polysaccharide that plays key roles in development, cancer and wound healing.  Hyaluronan turns over at the rate of grams per day, and disruption of either the steady state amount or the polymer length can result in severe pathology.
